Yeah, Kentmere 400 is the real deal. It’s made by Ilford, and so the quality is pretty high, but it just has a cheaper production process than the Ilford stocks.

I’ve been trying out some cheap stocks because film is becoming so expensive. The cheapest Fuji stock costs 19€ (around USD $20) where I live, and Kodak Gold now costs almost as much as Portra. The problem is that the budget film stocks are getting harder to get hold of because everyone seems to be buying them up.

I basically pay off the cost of film by writing about it here on Medium, but film photography is not a cheap hobby by any stretch, so I mostly shoot digital.

And yeah, I totally vouch for the friendliness of the Turkish people I met on holiday! Turkey was one of my favourite places to visit
