Yeah, I've noticed a lot of road rage in France too, but it just manifests itself differently from road rage in New Zealand. In NZ, drivers would speed, tailgate you, and shout at you if you jaywalked. They're kind of like douche bags lol. But in France, while drivers may speed and go through red lights, they usually wouldn't react if you jaywalked. There seems to be a consensus in France that breaking the rules is okay, and so if you jaywalked, most motorists wouldn't react negatively -- since they themselves are liable to go through red lights. I often feel a pressure to jaywalk just when the pedestrian crossing goes red, because I feel like I'm letting the drivers down if I don't lol
