That's really interesting. I guess it's the whole "If it bleeds, it leads" philosophy? I think that Le Monde sees itself and is seen as France's newspaper of record, and so it probably thinks it's above such things. I could be wrong though. I've never worked in journalism or anything, so I'm just basically parroting what they told us
