Thanks for the kind words. To be perfectly honest, I mainly write about Paris because I'm lazy lol. To write a piece, all I have to do is stick my head out the window and see what's going on. Paris also ridiculously popular as a subject — I've written about other places like my native New Zealand, but those essays attract nowhere near as much attention. So from a purely financial POV, Paris is a pretty easy choice. I do like living here though — I wouldn't write about it if I didn't. I've also tried writing more 'advice' pieces but they tend to make me feel like a phony, so to avoid the cringe, I stick to more travel blog style pieces.

Sorry to hear about the eye surgeries. Hopefully you'll get to travel again in the future. And yeah, A Turd in the River wouldn't be a bad band name
