Spreading Memes Might Help Stop the Spread

It’s early in the morning and the Parisian skyline is shrouded in mist. For the first time in weeks, the sky has decided against turning blue, at least for now. I can barely see the Eiffel Tower; as a faint grey outline, it's pale imitation of the bold edifice I see on every other day.

For the first time in a while it rained yesterday. Over the course of a few minutes the afternoon gave way to a gentle shower, which felt oddly dramatic given the endless days of sunshine we've been having.

I’ve just finished a bowl of porridge and, say, a tenth of a baguette with salted butter and marmalade. Fortunately for me, since porridge doesn’t seem to be very popular in France, there are never any shortages of oatmeal. Having lived on the stuff every morning for close to a decade, I can’t envision a day in which I don’t get my fix.

The other day my father shared a link to some free online courses on my family’s iMessage group chat. While I didn’t enrol in any courses on that particular website, I did come across a photography one by MOMA on Coursera. But after getting through a few videos, it then dawned on me that I would have to do a few obligatory readings, as well as tests to ensure I’ve actually read them.
