Paris in Autumn

Photos of a city growing cold

Autumn has a way of creeping up on you. Before you know it, the sun has gone and the trees have shed their leaves.

As I had to work the last couple of weekends, I didn't have the opportunity to explore the city. So when I took the chance to go for a walk, I was amazed by how fast autumn has come along. While the Celsius is still reaching the mid-20s, the trees tell a different story.

Daylight saving has gone, and with it the long summer nights. Now, the sun sets at 5pm and night falls not long thereafter, making the days seem short and claustrophobic. They tell me that every hour of light should be enjoyed to the fullest, for they won't last long.
