I totally agree with you re motion -- a photo with people moving about in them is much more dynamic than one where no motion can be seen. I still believe, though, that certain moments in a gait look stranger than others. For me, it's similar to when you take a portrait of someone. Sometimes you might capture a beautiful smile, but it's also possible to capture a moment when their face is doing some strange expression in-between smiling and looking blank. That's how I see it anyway
