I think that there's a lot of super interesting indie films on MUBI, but sometimes they can be almost too interesting. In order to watch a black-and-white short of a Filipino poet reciting poetry in the middle of a rain-soaked car park somewhere in the Philippines (which is a real film, by the way), you really have to be in a certain frame of mind, and that's not often a frame of mind that you're in after an honest day's work. I wasn't aware of Taika's new project Next Goal Wins, but it sounds interesting. A lot of New Zealand and Pasifika talent there too.
