Football would be a Great Distraction from the Crisis, but That's Kind of the Problem

It’s another beautiful day – one you could be guilty of describing as flawless, were it not, of course, for all the horrific things going on right now.
Since the last time I wrote I haven’t really been outside. Sure, I might spent a few minutes on the balcony, and I was briefly outside just a few minutes ago, but aside from these brief moment I’ve largely been in self-imposed captivity. One thing I’ve noticed is that while staying inside can’t be good for my health, after a whole day of not leaving the home, I mostly lose the urge to break the inside streak.
That has never been the case previously. See, I have always believed with all my heart that if you don’t go outside before midday, you’ve essentially squandered the day, and any attempts at leaving the home after that point won’t ever atone for your abduction of early bird duties. Now with the confinement, however, the reasons not to go outside are so compelling and numerous, there really is no guilt attached to spending an entire day inside, out of harm’s way.
Just as I began typing up that last paragraph, I heard a car honk outside. As it drove away, I could hear the unusually high-pitched voice of a man yelling obscenities. Though I couldn’t…
