Kia ora, bonjour, hello.
Welcome to my humble abode. Sit down, relax, and make yourself at home.
There’s a chance we might not have formally met, in which case let me introduce myself.
My name is William and I’m a New Zealand creative based in Paris. I’m an advertising copywriter by trade, a lover of languages by choice, a photography enthusiast by chance, and an Arsenal supporter by necessity.
I started my Medium blog in 2020 to record the world around me and keep the lockdown blues at bay. Fast-forward a few years and it’s become a sort of journal where I write about things that interest me — be it photography, art, football, language, literature, philosophy, my life in France, or some weird combination of all of these.
I’ve written for some of the most active publications on Medium including Human Parts, The Writing Cooperative, Full Frame, Language Lab, Better Marketing & Bootcamp.
I’ve also received three Medium Staff Picks, plus Top Writer status in Art, Design, Photography, Travel & Food.
If you’d like to support my work by buying me a flat white coffee (or 50), I’d be eternally grateful: ko-fi.com/williamsidnam
I’m also currently documenting torn advertising posters in the Paris metro. To see the latest finds, you can follow me at https://www.instagram.com/metrotears/
